Analysis of the warning of SolidWorks empty template

When using SolidWorks, individual users will encounter the problem that using SolidWorks to open .step, .x_t, etc. exchange files will result in the following error message (or when the save entity is a part or assembly):

At this time, the user can click "Cancel" to manually load the template. But the next time you open it, this problem will occur. What can you do to get the software to automatically load the template?

In order to facilitate the user's understanding, we first say why you want to add a template, a SolidWorks part can be considered as the following combination

3D Model + Template >> SolidWorks File

The template is similar to a box that holds a 3D model, and the packaged box is a complete SolidWorks part. The box is a part box (part template), then the SolidWorks file is the part file; if the box is an assembly box (assembly template), then the SolidWorks file is the assembly file. So you can see that parts and assemblies in SolidWorks can be easily converted to each other.

So now we can know why this warning appears. Now all we need to do is to preset the template for the operation that needs the template. The method is very simple. As shown in the following figure, you can re-specify the "default template":
