1. According to the provisions of DL408-1991, DL409-1991 and GB26860-2011, electrically insulating shoes and electrically insulating cloth shoes and all rubber boots and all-polymer shoes with a test voltage of 15kV and below are suitable for power frequency below 1000V. In the working environment, all-rubber boots and all-polymer shoes with 15kV or more are suitable for work environments with a power frequency above 1000V.

2. The electric power industry uses all-rubber boots and all-polymer shoes that are more than 15kV.

3. All mineral rubber boots and all-polymer boots are used underground.

4.Electrically insulated leather shoes and electrically insulating cloth shoes are suitable for use in a dry environment. They are not suitable for outdoor, wet and other operating environments on rainy days.

Fourth, pay attention to matters

1. Before use, check whether the mark of the electrical insulating shoe is complete and meets the requirements of the standard. The mark content includes:

(1) Shoe number, standard number, electrical insulation (or English EH), lightning marking and voltage resistance values ​​shall be provided on the upper or sole of each electrically insulating shoe.

(2) Manufacturer's name, shoe number, product or brand name, date of production, and inspection seal of electrical insulation performance.

2. When wearing electrically insulated leather shoes and electrically insulating cloth shoes, the upper should be kept dry in the working environment. Wherever there is corrosion and damage to the bottom, it is no longer possible to wear electrical insulating shoes.

3. Do not insulate shoes with moisture. Do not use them after getting wet. Once damp, ventilate in a cool, ventilated place.

4. When wearing electrical insulating shoes, contact with sharp objects, high temperature and corrosive substances should be avoided to prevent the shoes from being damaged and affecting their insulation performance.

5. Electrically insulating shoes should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to prevent mildew and avoid the influence of oil, acids and alkalis or other corrosive substances.

6. From the date of manufacture, the use of electrical insulating shoes and the shelf life is 24 months. Electrically insulative shoes that have passed the deadline should only undergo preventive tests and can be used only after they have passed.

7. Under normal circumstances, electrical insulating shoes should be tested every six months for a preventive test. Only qualified persons can continue to use them. If they do not meet the standards, they must not be used as electrical insulating shoes. Preventive test test voltage and leakage current are shown in Table 1.
