Michael Jost, Volkswagen's eponymous brand strategy leader, said at an industry conference near Wolfsburg's corporate headquarters in Germany on Tuesday: "Our colleagues are working to provide the last platform for carbon dioxide-emitting cars. Joost pointed out that Volkswagen will continue to adjust its gasoline and diesel engine vehicles to meet environmental standards during their service life, but the German automaker is now committed to radical measures to prevent global warming.
