Since pure elastomers are non-polar materials, and plastics (such as PA, PBT) are polar materials, the two are incompatible, pure elastomers can not effectively toughen plastics, so it is necessary to form POE grafts by POE by graft modification. The grafted functional group can react with the end group of the substrate to provide a certain compatibility, so that the two phases have good adhesion, thereby enabling the base resin to greatly improve the impact strength. For example, MAH of CMG5805-L (POE-g-MAH) can react with the amine group of nylon to effectively toughen PA. When a certain number of parts is added to 5805-L, a super-tough material is formed.
