How to prevent leaks in the family?

If you give home improvement problems to be a 'leader', the problem of leaking in the bathroom must be at the top of the list. Water seepage, water dripping, water leakage, even water soaking, water flooding... The water leaks that occur in many homes, whether light or heavy, are a headache.

The crux of the problem

Although the bathroom is not large, the number of leaking nodes may be numerous. In general, leakage occurs mainly in the water pipe system and the waterproof process. Therefore, no matter whether the material is selected or the leaking of the water-proof project is carried out, it will be buried in the future.

Solution

First, the material

1. The quality of good waterproof materials should be purchased in large-scale building materials supermarkets, waterproof materials with environmental protection coefficient up to standard.

2. Bathroom tile should use low water absorption products, 2% -7% of the water absorption rate is more appropriate. One-third of the tiles can be soaked in half-basin water and taken out after 5 minutes. If the color of the soaked area is consistent with that of the non-soaked area, the water absorption rate is low.

3. The best choice for waterproof cement, although expensive, but its excellent performance, can reduce the occurrence of leakage. When solving the root leakage problem, you should choose expansive materials to achieve the purpose of plugging, and you cannot use cement instead.

4. The pipeline is not thicker and the water is more smooth. Under the premise that the water flow rate per unit time is constant, the pressure of the thickened pipeline will become smaller, the flow rate of water will become slower, and the dirt will not be easily washed. In the long term, the pipeline may be easily blocked.

5. Different materials can not be connected to use the pipeline. Two sections of pipes made of different chemical materials, even after being hot-melted, are squeezed together by external force, and after solidification, gaps still exist, eventually causing water seepage.

Second, technology

1. Do not arbitrarily change the piping design, otherwise it will easily lead to leakage in the future. One is not to move the water supply pipeline long distance. The longer the pipeline, the greater the chance of failure. Second, do not arbitrarily change the position of the toilet, otherwise it will easily leave hidden dangers for future leakage.

2. Try to avoid the ground pipe during construction. When you have to walk the pipe from the ground, you must do a waterproof before you walk the pipe, do waterproof after the cement mortar is wiped.

3. Try to avoid drilling in the wall. For some towel bars and other hardware, the thickness of drilling on the wall can not exceed 2 cm, otherwise it will easily damage the waterproof layer of the wall. When the groove must be modified on the wall, the waterproof material should be carefully painted on the inner wall of the groove to prevent condensation water from seeping out of the wall in the future.

4. The inside corner of the bathroom needs to be treated with one or two layers of non-woven fabrics to prevent cracking and leakage of the waterproof layer. In addition, the pipe joints can be installed with light bricks to stand uprights, and the non-woven fabrics should also be laid on the inside corners of the risers to prevent water seepage.

5. In order to avoid leaking corner gaps, the order of paving bathroom wall tiles and floor tiles should be strictly considered. You should first spread the wall tiles, leaving the last row of unpaved tiles close to the ground. After the waterproof and floor tiles are fully paved and topped to the walls, the remaining walls are laid.

6. The waterproofing of the bathroom should be made into a basin shape rather than a cocoon shape, not only can drain the water on the surface of the tile, but also can leak into the floor drain in the structure of the building.

7. The corners of the walls and the roots of the pipes should not be made flat, but must be curved. In addition, the gaps between floor drains and tiles, the connections between floor drains and pipes, the flanges of toilets, and other details must be handled.
