The 4th China Diamond-related Materials and Applications Conference was held in Xiamen on August 20-23, 2010 at Wang Yuanxing International Academic Exchange Center of Huaqiao University. The conference was organized by Huaqiao University, Brittle Materials Processing Technology, Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center (Construction). Co-sponsored by the National Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials of Jilin University and the National Special Mineral Materials Engineering Technology Research Center, and undertaken by the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education of the Fragile Materials Processing Technology of Huaqiao University. A total of 165 people from domestic famous universities, research institutes and enterprises, experts and scholars, and some foreign research institutions and industry scholars attended the conference.

President Lu Zhi, Dean of the Guilin Institute of Mineral Geology, gave a welcome speech at the Wang Yuanxing International Academic Exchange Center of Huaqiao University. The proceedings included 36 papers. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Guo Hua from Huaqiao University. Professor Xu Xipeng and Vice President of Huaqiao University and Guilin Lu Zhi, dean of the Institute of Mineral Geology, gave a welcome speech. The conference invited Professor Huang Han of Australia to make "the application of diamond grinding wheel in high speed and micro-nano grinding", and Professor Lin Weimin of Japan made "the application of diamond tools in semiconductor manufacturing and ultra-precision machining", as well as Lu Zhi and He Yuehui. A total of 9 experts and professors, including Jia Xiaopeng, Liu Hao, Deng Fuming, Fu Yucan and Li Yuan, have made keynote reports. The conference also read 19 papers on superhard materials, superhard materials and related materials, including mechanism discussion, process research, application development, development trends and market prospects. This conference provided a good communication platform for experts, scholars and technicians in super-hard materials and related fields, and strengthened mutual understanding and cooperation among domestic counterparts, which promoted the vigorous development of the industry.

In addition to the exchange activities, Secretary-General Li has conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges on how to do a good job in industry associations and to run magazines and representatives.
