Tin alloy fuel catalyst technology breakthrough

A few days ago, Malaysia carried out experiments on the addition of tin alloy particles to fuel oil and succeeded. It has made 11 different types of engines effective in energy saving and emission reduction. ITRI International Tin Industry Association (formerly known as International Tin Research Institute) has called for more research in the industry.
This technology will help reduce harmful emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. Therefore, it is imperative to set strict targets on a global scale to reduce engine pollution and improve fuel efficiency. Over the years, studies have found that a "magic" technology can reduce engine fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. However, this technique has been widely questioned when widely promoted.
Recently, tin production smelter, the Malaysian Smelter Group (MSC), conducted field experiments to confirm the technology. Tin alloy fuel catalysts are supplied by British company Broquet International, adding or installing tin alloy fuel catalysts to some of the engines and cars at the Rachman Hendricklik tin mine (RHT mine).
These specially formulated tin alloy particles can either be added to the tank or installed in the oil circuit. They have a long service life and can be used until the engine is scrapped.
The experiment was based on six months of fuel consumption and compared with the fuel consumption six months after the addition of the catalyst. After exhaust gas emission test (test objects include passenger cars, trucks, dump trucks, generators, large static diesel engines, and a total of 11 Jeep and Volvo cars), all experimental results show that the role of the catalyst is positive and effective, including diesel The engine's fuel savings ranged from 4.0% to 7.0%, gasoline engine fuels saved 6.0% to 7.0%, and carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide emissions decreased by 30% to 60%.
Dr. Jeremy Pearce, ITRI's technical director, said: “These latest research results show that it is time for engine manufacturers, governments and the scientific community to pay more attention to tin alloy fuel catalyst technology. When tin alloys come into contact with fuel oil, it is clear There will be a positive effect. We need to seize this opportunity to use it to make the engine's fossil fuels cleaner and less polluting."
In fact, ITRI International Tin Industry Association believes that this technology is very close to how to understand the working mechanism of tin alloy fuel catalysts. Experts in the world of tin science have proposed two complementary theories, all based on certain known metal properties.
First, tin may react with trace metals present in the fuel that cause the engine to gel or deposit, thus making the engine cleaner.
Second, tin has been used as a conversion catalyst in the commercial field. For example, organics are converted to biodiesel, and similar reactions of tin with fuel molecules are theoretically possible. In fact, a report released last year by the University of Connecticut in the United States confirmed that the gasoline and diesel molecules have changed and the measured output of effective energy has increased. The University’s Energy Project Department identified tin alloys as “a new generation of fuel conversion catalysts for the efficient use of energy”.
The above is the latest report in a series of experiments coordinated by ITRI. There are other work being carried out in China and Peru. At the same time, ITRI has collated more than 70 other technical test data provided by suppliers and tested in the past decades, all confirmed that this tin alloy fuel catalyst is an effective new energy-saving emission reduction technology.
