A high school in Los Angeles builds a solar wall

American construction company Brooks+Scarpa recently completed a huge solar wall at a high school campus in Inglewood, Los Angeles. This south-facing solar wall covers a total of 650 solar panels and can provide 75% of the school's energy needs. Brooks+Scarpa said that this strategy of sustainable development is of great significance to environmental protection.

This design adopted the principle of passive solar energy utilization and chose a large block structure. Thanks to the temperate climate in California, this design has improved natural lighting and ventilation. The entire wall has 53,500 square feet (4,970 square meters) and costs about $17.3 million in total.
