The drone becomes a "wind squid" and the domestic consumer market will "take off"

With the open blank market and the enthusiasm of capital, the drone industry has become a veritable “flying pig”.

"The first mouse and keyboard" Leibai Technology joined hands with Zero Intelligence to release the first consumer-grade "UAV" on January 21. Zeng Hao, chairman of Leibai Technology, told the reporter of "Daily Economic News" that the main market of mouse and keyboard has been difficult to achieve significant development, and the company tried to bring all advantages to a future industry. The drone has the characteristics of high gross profit margin and strong liquidity. As the application scene becomes more and more extensive, the drone will be the key business of Leibo in the future.

Yang Jianjun, general manager of Zero Intelligence, said that the proportion of domestic and overseas markets for drone sales is about 2:8 or even 1:9. Europe and the United States are still the most important sales market, and the domestic market is at the critical point of takeoff.

UAV market begins to break out

Starting with a wireless mouse and keyboard, Leibai landed in the A-share market in April 2011 as a stealth champion, but the mouse industry has already seen signs of a significant recession.

In the first three quarters of 2014, the company's net profit attributable to shareholders was 65.22 million yuan, of which Lehui World contributed 61.54 million yuan. The company's traditional PC peripheral products, plus new business TV boxes, robot system integration, etc., contributed a total of profits only 3.68 million yuan, the company began to seek change.

In December 2013, the company acquired 678 million yuan to acquire 70% equity of Yuehui Tianxia and entered the mobile game business. In 2014, it established a robot business line to expand into new business areas. According to the announcement, Leibai has established a holding subsidiary in Shenzhen Qianhai with a capital contribution of 30 million yuan. The business direction is to develop, produce and sell small UAVs and peripheral products for personal consumption. The two parties accounted for 60% and 40% of the shares respectively according to the capital contribution ratio.

Zeng Hao said that starting from March this year, drone consumption-grade products are expected to ship 10,000 units per month. At the same time, we will take care of the drone industry market and walk on two legs. “Compared with the consumer market, the drone industry market is more secure and stable, and is not sensitive to price. A set of drones costing several thousand yuan can be sold at a price of 60,000 or higher, which is more representative of the technical value.

At present, there are about 150 civilian UAV production units in China, and it is estimated that more than 15,000 UAVs have been produced. Listed companies involved in the drone business include 15 companies including Hongdu Aviation, Shandong Mining Machinery and Shanhe Intelligent.

At the just-concluded 2015 CES show in Las Vegas, chip giants Qualcomm and Intel introduced basebands and chips for drone applications. Yang Jianjun believes that as more giants join the product supply chain, drone products have emerged. The basis for the outbreak of cargo volume.

Consumer market cake big

Compared with DJI innovation, the zero-intelligence of system integrators as developers of unmanned intelligent systems, small drone applications and entertainment has not been well known in the industry. According to Yang Jianjun, the fixed-wing flight control drone Swift, which was developed in 2010, was the first aerial map of the earthquake zone during the 2010 Yushu earthquake. It was adopted by the State Seismological Bureau when reporting to Wen Jiabao, then prime minister. At present, UAVs mainly include film and television aerial photography, aerial mapping and geological exploration in the field of industrial market applications. Other areas include medical rescue, low-altitude logistics, security monitoring and other industries.

"In the application of the industry market, film and television and mapping have been quite mature, and each drone manufacturer has a certain market share." Yang Jianjun said that with the addition of technology and the addition of new manufacturers, the drone market will be more subdivided. “For example, the agricultural market will be the fastest growing market in the future. One is space application, and the other is demand is starting. The drones in the agricultural market need to be formulated according to government, industry, and user standards and needs.”

Another role of the red drone is e-commerce. Amazon founder Bezos announced plans to use drones to deliver services in December last year, and said that Amazon will launch the service in 2015, as allowed by the FAA regulations; in July and August 2013, domestic express delivery companies SF has tested drone distribution services in cities such as Shenzhen and Dongguan.

Yang Jianjun said, "The drone is technically fully achievable in point-to-point logistics and distribution. However, it will take at least two years to receive a complex logistics system. At present, each family is doing a cut-in attempt. Zero-degree load is unmanned. The machine is exploring the distribution attempts from the transfer station to the transfer station with several large domestic e-commerce companies. Due to the restrictions of aviation supervision, Amazon's direct-to-home distribution is more complicated and requires more exploration."

This time, in cooperation with Leibai, it is the first time to introduce consumer-grade drone products. Compared with the pursuit of safety and stability in the industry market, Yang Jianjun said that consumers are more engaged in the experience. Sophisticated, cheap, safe, and "now." From product design and sales services, it is brand new. At present, the proportion of domestic and overseas market sales of drone products is about 2:8 or even 1:9, and Europe and America are still the most important sales market.

“The domestic market is at the tipping point of the takeoff. It is predicted that the consumer market will be a big cake in the future.”

He analyzed that because of the professional control and technical maintenance involved, the domestic sales channels of drones are mainly traditional model stores. However, with the increase in shipments in the consumer market, the improvement of after-sales service and the “hands-on” control experience are becoming more mature. In the future, digital products such as mobile phones will be open to drones.

Low-level supervision is still a hanging sword

Recently, some media reported that a small quadcopter crashed in the White House in the United States, causing security personnel to panic. The drone in the incident is the innovative product of Shenzhen Dajiang, and the incident also caused the industry to discuss the air traffic control of drones.

In China, the first batch of “Certificate of Driver Training Organization for Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” issued by the Civil Aviation Administration has been issued in August. The first batch of licenses have three companies, including Shanhe Intelligent Participation Hunan Shanhe Technology Co., Ltd., Hubei Yiwate Technology Co., Ltd., Henan Anyang Quanfeng Aviation Plant Protection Technology Co., Ltd. The acquisition of the above certificates indicates that the relevant companies can carry out training activities for drone driving.

According to informed sources, the drone training course lasts for half a month. The content is roughly divided into two parts: “theory training” and “practical training”. It mainly teaches the principles of drones, regulations, airspace specifications, operational theory and product maintenance. At the same time, various flight test operations of the drone will be conducted. Those who pass the examination will be awarded the AOPA Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Driver's Certificate and the Civil Unmanned Aircraft System Driver Certificate issued by the China Association of Civil Aviation's AOPA Association (China Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association).

According to the “Interim Regulations on Driver Management for Civil Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems” issued in 2013, a miniature drone with a weight of 7 kg or less has a flight range of 500 m in the visual line of sight and a relative height of less than 120 m. No license is required.

Yang Jianjun told reporters that although they can not ultimately control how consumers use the products, they have already added some preventive measures. For example, using a global positioning system to dictate that the user's flight altitude does not exceed the legal height. In addition, according to local legislation, the flying height of the drones sold in the area is limited.

"Consumer-level unmanned opportunities are becoming more and more miniaturized and intelligent. Now the size of small drones is about 1.2 kilograms. Next, the weight of consumer-grade drones may be reduced to 500 grams. Qualcomm launches drone applications at CES. Binocular recognition system, intelligent machine ranging will be more accurate, reducing the occurrence of collision events." Yang Jianjun said.

Zeng Hao said, "New things need an acceptance process, and it takes time for the legislature to think about supervision. At present, small UAVs have set up no-fly zones and will not fly at airports and concentrated areas. I think the government will guide them. There are some restrictions, but they will not be banned."
