In a large-format laser marking machine using dynamic focusing, a long-focus dynamic focusing device is used before the scanning of the galvo mirror. The laser output spot is focused by a dynamic focusing mirror, and the focusing focal length is greater than the distance from the dynamic focusing mirror to the galvo mirror. That is, scanning is performed during beam focusing. Since the distance from the workpiece plane to the focusing mirror constantly changes during the plane scan, it is impossible to mark the workpiece plane if the focal length of the focusing mirror is fixed. This is why dynamic focusing is used. The focal length of the focusing mirror is changed according to the distance from the focusing mirror to each point of the workpiece plane, so that the focused light spots are all gathered in the plane where the workpiece is located.
