Taishan Craftsman won the "Award of Design Art Achievement"

The 4th China International Design Art Fair was held in Beijing Exhibition Hall on the 12th of this month. The expo held design art exhibitions and industry summit forums, among which the "2009 International Design Innovation Forum and Awards Ceremony" held in particular attracted attention. The Expo awarded the highest honor to the designers who made outstanding contributions in the design field in 2008-"Achievement in Design Art Achievement Award". Wu Bingliang, deputy director of the Chinese Traditional Furniture Professional Committee and Taishan Ming and Qing furniture masters, was awarded the "Award of Design Art Achievement".

It is understood that Wu Bingliang has been engaged in the design, manufacture and research of traditional antique furniture for 30 years. He has unique insights into the shape, structure and cultural connotation of Ming and Qing furniture, and has established the traditional furniture evaluation and design guidance theory based on "type", "art", "material" and "yun". And on this basis, a group of Ming and Qing style art furniture was designed with high imitation, improvement and innovation. The works are deeply recognized by senior experts and scholars and collectors of traditional furniture in China with the artistic characteristics of "deep charm and beautiful materials". With respect, it is well-known in the traditional furniture industry and enjoys the reputation of "Lingnan Luban".
