The cylinder of the clean water fire extinguisher is filled with clean water, so it is called a clean water fire extinguisher. It is mainly used to fight the fire of solid materials, such as wood, cotton, textiles and other initial fires.
The clean water fire extinguisher is available in 6 liters and 9 liters. The 6 liter specification means that the fire extinguisher is equipped with 6 liters of water, and the 9 liter specification means 9 liters of water.
How to use two clear water fire extinguishers
Lift the water extinguisher to the fire and set the fire extinguisher upright about 10 meters from the burning object.
Note: The fire extinguisher should not be placed too far away from the burning material. This is because the effective spraying distance of the water fire extinguisher is about 10 meters. Otherwise, the water sprayed by the water fire extinguisher will not spray on the burning material.
Take off the insurance cap. The palm of the open rod is tapped with the palm of the hand, and the water is ejected from the nozzle.
When the clean water is sprayed from the nozzle, immediately lift the lifting ring on the fire extinguisher cover with one hand, and the other hand holds the bottom ring of the fire extinguisher, and spray the jet of water at the most violent place. Because the water sprayer's effective water spray time is only about 1 minute, when the fire extinguisher has water sprayed, the fire extinguisher should be quickly lifted, and the water flow should be sprayed at the most violent place.
As the fire extinguisher spray distance is shortened, the operator should gradually approach the combustion material so that the water flow is always sprayed at the combustion site until the fire is extinguished.
The water fire extinguisher should always be in a substantially vertical state with the ground during use, and should not be reversed or lying down. Otherwise, the water flow will be affected.
Maintenance and inspection of Sanshui water fire extinguisher
For the maintenance of clean water fire extinguishers, the following aspects should be noted:
(1) Check if the temperature of the place where the fire extinguisher is stored is above 0 °C to prevent the temperature from freezing too low.
(2) Fire extinguishers should be placed in a ventilated, dry, and clean place to prevent clogging of the nozzles and rust due to moisture or chemically corrosive chemicals.
(3) Frequent visual inspections are carried out as follows:
(1) Check whether the nozzle of the fire extinguisher is unblocked, and if there is any blockage, it should be cleared in time;
(2) Check if the pressure gauge pointer of the fire extinguisher is in the green area. If the pointer is in the red area, it indicates that the pressure of the carbon dioxide gas cylinder is insufficient, which has affected the normal use of the fire extinguisher. Therefore, the cause of insufficient pressure should be ascertained, and the pressure should be refilled after inspection. Carbon dioxide gas;
(3) Check whether the fire extinguisher is rusted or damaged, whether the surface is painted or not, and the lightly falling off should be replenished in time. If there is obvious corrosion, it should be sent to the professional maintenance department for inspection.
(4) Once the fire extinguisher is opened, it must be refilled as required for the next use.
(5) Perform a comprehensive inspection of the detacher cover every six months:
(1) Check whether the anti-corrosion layer of the gas cylinder is detached or corroded. If it is slightly detached, it should be replenished in time, and the corrosion is sent to the professional maintenance department for hydrostatic test;
(2) Check whether the weight of the water in the fire extinguisher is satisfactory. The 6-liter fire extinguisher should be filled with 6 kg of water, and the 9-liter fire extinguisher should be filled with 9 kg of water.
(3) Whether the seal part of the inspector cover is intact.
